Q AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY
Uâ–º THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, ON THE 12TH DAY
OF FEBRUARY, 1968, AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP, AND MAKING THIS
AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE; TO CHANGE
THE S.W. CORNER OF BLOCK NO. 11 OF THE SNYDER ADDITION FROM "R-S
SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT" TO "RM-1 TWO FAMILY DWELLINGS OR DUPLEX DISTRICT",
AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council -for the purpose of
changing the Zoning Ordinance on the following described real estate;
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the
City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, and being a part of Block No. 11
of the Snyder Addition to said City of Georgetown and being further described as
follows:
BEGINNING at the S.W.corner of said Block No. 11;
THENCE N 95 feet with the W line of said Block;
THENCE E 80 feet;
THENCE S 95 feet to the S line of said block;
THENCE W 80 feet with the S line of said block and the N line of 13th
Street to the place of BEGINNING being part of the same land conveyed to Jesse A.
Todd described in Volume 421, Page,683, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning
Ordinance to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and
report; and
WHEREAS the City Planning and 'Zoning Commission before considering said
application gave notice of such hearing by publishing the same one time in the
Williamson County Sun, a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which
said notice stated the time and place of such hearing and which time was not
earlier than fifteen (15) days from the first day of such publication; and
WHEREAS the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing of
said Zoning Ordinance regarding the above described property from R-S Single
Family Residential District to liM-1, Two Family Dwellings or Duplex District,
which said matter was considered by said City Planning and Zoning Commission
on the 15th day of February, 1972; and
WHEREAS written notices were given to all of the owners of the lots within
200 feet of the above described property required by law;
NOW THEREFORE and be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, that the Zoning Ordinance, and the Zoning Map of the City of Georgetown,
be amended so that property described above shall be and the same is hereby
removed from "R-S Single Family Residence District" to "B11-1 Two Family Dwellings
or Duplex,District".

The exactment of this ordinance being necessary to the immediate preservation
of public business and to provide for the usual daily operation of a municipal
department, it is declared to be an emergency measure, which shall have and take
effect following its present reading and adoption.
Read, Passed and adapted by unanimous vote, this 1-3th day of March, 1972.
