AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, ON THE 12TH
DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1968, AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP, AND
MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL OR-
DINANCE: TO CHANGE PART OF LOT NO. 5 IN BLOCK NO. 3 AND THE
NORTHWEST 40,1t 120 FEET OUT OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF BLOCK
NO. 4 OF EIDMAN'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS
FROM "R-S SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT" TO "R-M MULTIPLE FAMILY
DISTRICT", AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the purpose of
changing the Zoning Ordinance on the following described real estate;
All those certain tracts or parcels of land lying and being situated in the
City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, to -wit:
Lot No. 5 in Block No. 3 of the Eidman Addition to the said City of Georgetown,
Texas according to the map or plat of record in Vol. 1, Page 134, of Williamson
County Plat Records and a lot 40 X 120 feet out of the northwest corner of Block
No. 4 of Eidman's Addition to the �'ity of George -town, Williamson County, Texas
described as follows:
BEGINNING at the NW corner of said Lot No. 4 same -being .the SW corner of Block
No. 3 of said Addition;.
THENCE South with `the east line of Walnut Street 40 feet of the northwest corner
of strip 30 feet wide sold by John Cluck to City of Georgetown by Deed dated Dec-
ember 22, 1948 recorded in Vol. 354, Page 39, Deed records of`Williamson County,
Texas;
THENCE East with the north line of said tract conveyed to the City of George-
town 120 feet to stake for SE corner hereof, same being the SW corner of a lot
conveyed by John M. Cluck et ux to Harley J. Davis et ux;
THENCE North parallel to Walnut Street 40 feet, following the West line of said
Davis lot to the NW corner hereof in the north line of Block No. 4 of Eidman's
Addition;
,THENCE West with the north line of Block No. 4, 120 feet to the PLACE OF BEGIN-
NING.
AND WHEREAS, The City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning
Ordinance to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and
report; and
WHEREAS the City Planning and Zoning Commission before considering said applica-
tion gave notice of such hearing by publishing the same one time in the Williamson
County Sun, a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which said notice
stated the time and place of such hearing and which time was not earlier than fif-
teen (15) days from the first day of such publication; and
WHEREAS, the owners of all lots located within 200 feet of the above described
property were given written notices of said hearing as required by law.
WHEREAS, The City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing of
said zoning ordinance regarding the above described property from "R-S Single Family
District" to"R-M Multiple Family District" which said matter was considered by the
City Planning and Zoning Commission on the 19th day of September, 1972; and
NOW THEREFORE and be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, that the Zoning Ordinance, and the Zoning Map of the City of Georgetown, be
amended wo that the property described above shall be and the same is hereby removed
from "R-S Single Family District" to "R-M Multiple Family District".
The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the immediate preservation
of public business and to provide for the usual daily operation of a municipal
department, it is declared to be an emergency measure, which shall have and take
effect following its present reading and adoption.

Any subsequent modification of the franchise standards as sJ a*8`44dnder

franchise within one (1) year of its adoption.
