ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF,GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, ON THE 16th
DAY OF NOVEMBER 1972, AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP, AND
MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE;
TO CHANGE PART OF LOTS NOS. 51 6 and 7 IN BLOCK NO. 17 OF GLASS. -
COCK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS FROM R-S SINGLE
FAMILY DISTRICT TO R-M-1 TWO FAMILY -DWELLING OR DUPLEX DISTRICT,
AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the purpose
of changing the Zoning Ordinance on the following described real estate;
All that certain lot -or parcel of land, lying and being situated in the
City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, and being a part of Lots 5, 6 and
7, in Block 17, of Glasscock's Addition to the said City, and described as
follows:
BEGINNING at the S.W. corner of the said Block No. 17;
THENCE N with the West line of the said Block, 126 feet;
THENCE E 75 feet, to the N. E. corner of the strip of 9 feet purchased by
S.A. Heard from W. H. Cowley and wife, by Deed recorded in Volume 117, Page 623,
of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas;
THENCE S with the East line of the said strip, 126 feet, to the S line
of the said Block;
THENCE W with the S line -of said Block, 75 feet to the place of beginning,
and being the same land purchased by W. I. Stump from S. A. Heard and wife, by
Deed dated March 21, 1910, and recorded in Volume 140, Page 2 of the Deed Records
of Williamson County, Texas.
AND WHEREAS, The City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning
Ordinance to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and
report; and
WHEREAS the City Planning and Zoning Commission before considering said
application gave notice of such hearing by publishing the same one time in the
Williamson County Sun, a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which
said notice stated the time and place of such hearing and which time was not
earlier than fifteen (15) days from the first day of such publication; and
WHEREAS the owners of all lots located within 200 feet of the above described
property were given written notices of said hearing as required by law.
WHEREAS, The City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing
of said zoning ordinance regarding the above described property from R-S Single
Family District to R,4-1 Two Family Dwelling or Duplex Sidtrict which said matter
was considered by the City Planking and Zoning Commission on the 16th day
of October, 1972; and
NOW THEREFORE and be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, that the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map of the City of Georetown, be
amended so that the property described above shall be and the same is hereby
removed from RrS Single Family District to R-M-1 Two Family Dwelling or Duplex
District.

The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the immediate preservation of
public business and to provide for the usual daily operation 'of a municipal depart-
ment, it is declared to be an emergency measure, which shall have and take effect
following its present reading and adoption.
Head, passed and adopted by unanimous vote, this 16th day f November, 1972.

AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE MAXIMUM EARNINGS
TO BE CONSIDERED IN CALCULATING DEPOSITS AND
CONTRIBUTIONS TO BE MADE BY REASON OF CURRENT
SERVICE OF EMPLOYEES OF THIS CITY WHO ARE MEM-
BERS OF THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF GEORGETOWN', TEXAS:
That the total earnings, which may be paid by the City of Georgetown to any
of its employees who are members of the Texas Municipal Retirement System, shall
be considered in calculating the amount to be withheld and the deposits and con-
tributions to be made to the Texas Municipal Retirement System by reason of Current
Service rendered by such employee to this City.

TO PROVIDE FOR INCREASED MUNICIPAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CURRENT SERVICE ANNUITY
RESERVE AT RETIREMENT OF THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: PROVIDING
FOR, AND GRANTING "ANTECEDENT SERVICE CREDIT" AND "SPECIAL PRIOR SERVICE CREDIT"
AT THE RATES SPECIFIED, TO QUALIFYING EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That effective January 1, 1973, for each month of current service
thereafter rendered by each of its employees who are members of the Texas Municipal
Retirement System, the City will contribute to the current service annuity reserve
of each such member at the time of his retirement, a sum that is 200% of such
member's accumulated deposits for such month of employment; and said sum shall
be contributed from the City's account in the Municipality Current Accumulation Fund.
