GEORGETOWN, TEXAS
An amendment to the ordinance of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending the
Zoning Ordinance which went into effect on February 12, 1968, amending the Zoning
District Map and making this amendment a part of the map of the original ordinance;
to change the hereinafter described real estate in said City from R-S Single
Family District to 141-1 & RM-2 Multiple Family District, as hereinafter set forth.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the purpose
of changing the Zoning Ordinance on the following described real estate:
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying the being situated in Williamson
County, Texas, and being out of the Clement Stubblefield Survey, Abstract No. 558,
in said county, and also being out of a certain tract of 33.78 acres conveyed by
Theo P. Miles to Dennis Chapman and wife, Roberta Chapman, by deed dated March
-22, 1955, recorded in Vol. 404, Page 266, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas.
BEGINNING at a concrete marker at the N. E. corner of a small tract that was
conveyed out of the'said Miles tract to David Ira Guess and wife, by deed dated
June 17, 1952, and recorded in Vol. 381, page 73, Deed Records of Williamson
County, Texas;
THENCE with Guess' E. line S. 6 deg. 10 min. E. 44.6 varas to a concrete marker
at his S. E. Corner;
THENCE due West 19.1 varas to a concrete marker at the N. E. corner of another
small tract sold to said Guess by deed dated December, 1954, and recorded in Vol.
401, page 595, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas; -
THENCE due South 37.8 varas and due West 35.6 varas to a concrete marker at the
S. W. corner of said last named Guess tract in the West line of the Miles orig-
inal tract;
THENCE with Miles' original West line S. 19 deg. E. 118.8 varas to an iron stake
and concrete marker for the S. W. corner hereof;
THENCE due East 73.4 and due North 196.2 varas to a small hackberry tree in the
South fence, and concrete marker, of the street that borders this property on the
North.
THENCE west 63.0 varas to the beginning and containing 2.88 acres of land.
All that certain lot or parcel of land, lying and being situated in Williamson
County, Texas, a part of the Clement Stubblefield Survey, and also being out of
a 34.61 acre tract that is described in a deed from Brit Rea to C. E. Harris,
which deed is dated May'18, 1939, recorded in Volume 296,' page 608, Williamson
County Deed Records and more particularly described as follows. -
BEGINNING 140 feet East of the N. E. corner of a tract of 0.21 acres sold by Theo
P. Miles and wife, Myrtle Miles, to Ernest 0. Grigsby by deed dated November 10,
1949, recorded in Volume 357, page 409, Williamson County Deed Records, said
point being in the South line of a public road and the North line of said tract
of 34.61 acres;
THENCE West 140 feet;
THENCE South, with the East line of said Grigsby tract 120 feet;
THENCE East 152 feet;
THENCE in a Northerly direction to the PLACEOF BEGINNING.
and the following described property:
BEGINNING in the East line of a tract of 0.21 acres sold by Theo P. Miles and
wife, Myrtle Miles, to Ernest 0 Grigsby by deed dated November 10, 1949, recorded
in volume 357, page 409, Williamson County Deed Records, said point being 105
feet South of the Southwest corner of the above -described Guess Tract, which was
conveyed to Dvid Ira Guess and wife, Lila Blanche Guess by Theo P. Miles and wife,
Myrtle Miles, by deed recorded in Volume 381, page 73 Deed Records of Williamson
County, Texas;

THENCE North with the East line pf the Grigsby Tract 105 feet to the Southwest
corner of the above -described Guess tract;
THENCE in an Easterly direction with the South line of the above -described Guess
Tract for 99 feet;
THENCE South and at right angle to the above -described Guess Tract for a distance
of 90 feet;
THENCE in a Westerly direction and parallel to the South line of the above -described
Guess Tract to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning
Ordinance to the City Planning'Commission for its recommendation and report; and,
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has approved the changing of said
Zoning Ordinance on the above described property from R-S Single Family District
to RM-1 & RM-2 Multiple Family District, which said meeting was held on November 21,
1972; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council before adopting this amendment to the Zoning
Ordinance gave notice of such hearing by publishing the same three times in the
Williamson County Sun, a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas,
which said notice stated the time and place of such hearing and which time was
not earlier than 15 days from the first day of such publication; and,

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission approved the change aforesaid in the

Zoning Ordinance;, and no protest was entered against the proposed change; and,
WHEREAS, written notices were given to all of the owners of lots within
200 feet of the above described property, as required by law;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Georgetown
that the Zoning Ordinance, and,the Zoning Map of the City of Georgetown be
amended so that the property described above shall be and the same is hereby
removed from R-S Single Family District to RM-1 & RM-2 Multiple Family District.
The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the immediate preservation
of public business and to provide for the usual daily operation of the municipal
department, it is declared to be an emergency measure, which shall have and take
effect following its present reading and adoption.
READ, PASSED, AND ADOPTED by unanimous vote, this the llth day of December,
1972.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
That James A. Holden, owner of Oak Ridge, a Resubdivision of Lots 14 and 15
of San Gabriel Estates, is hereby authorized to file for record in the office of
the County Clerk of Williamson County, for the Map or Plat of said tract attached
hereto, and the said County Clerk of Williamson County is hereby authorized to
accept for filing and to record said Map of said Tract of Land ADOPTED\,Ii APPROVED
this the 8th day of January, 1973.
