HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 02.11.1974 - Urban Renewal Agency Deed ConveyanceAN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, TO EXECUTE A 'DEED' OF CONVEYANCE CONVEYING A PORTION OF OUTLOTS, 5 AND 6, DIVISION "D" OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A", -HERETO ATTACHED, TO URBAN RENEWAL: AGENCY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, FOR $1,850.00 CASH. WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Georgetown, Texas, has offered to pay to the City of Georgetown, the sum of $1,850.00 for,the purchase of the land here- inafter described; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to complete said sale in .'order to participate in the carrying out of the policies and program of the Urban Renewal Agency of said City: THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: The Mayor of the City of Georgetown is hereby authorized to execute a proper deed of conveyance conveying to Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Georgetown, Texas, the hereinafter described tea [ preperty, to -Wit: ' Being a'portion of Outlots 5 and 6, Division "D", Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" hereto attached and made a part hereof 1or all pertinent purposes. The said deed'of conveyance shall be -attested by the City Secretary and same shall be delivered to the Purchaser upon receipt of the sum of -$1,850.00 cash. INTRODUCED AND PASSED by the City Council of the City of'Georgetown, Texas, on First Reading the 14th day of January, 1974; and 'PASSED bn Second and Final Reading this 11 th day of February, 1974. Crawford, of George- town APPROVED BEFORE ADOPTION: oe B McMaster, City Attorney FIELD NOTES FOR URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY PARCEL OL 5-10 and OL 6-1 BEING a parcel or tract of land in the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, and being out of and a part of Outlots 5 and 6, Division "D" of said City and being the same land described in two deeds to the City of Georgetown, Texas, said deeds being of re- cord in Vol. 156, Page 35 and Vol. 126, Page 465, of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas. BEGINNING at an iron stake set near an old fence corner post on the West boundary line of Block 12 of Rucker and Hodges Addition to the City of Georgetown, :Texas, said point being S 890 10' W, 250.04 feet from the Northeast corner of.said Block 12, this point is also the Southwest corner of a tract of land described in a deed from Elfreda Wi l l iams' to the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Georgetown, Texas, said deed being of record in Vol. 532, Page 730 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas; THENCE S 89°10'W, at 209.01 feet an iron stake set on the East bank of the South San Gabriel River and continuing 70 feet for a total distance of 279.01 feet to a point in the middle of the South San Gabriel River, said point being the Southwest corner hereof and the North- west corner of Block 12 of Rucker and Hodges Addition; THENCE with the meanders of the South San Gabriel River as follows: N 9000'W, 175.60 feet; N 14059'W, 60.82 feet; N 0048'E, 89.81 feet; N 43012' E, 49.00 feet; N 39017' E, 120.06 feet; N 68009' E, 176.32 feet; and N 84032' E, 177.47 feet to a point for the Northeast corner thereof; THENCE South, at 60.00 feet an iron stake on the South bank of the South San Gabriel River and continuing 282.27 feet to an iron stake near an old fence corner post on the North margin of a 35 foot wide graveled street and continuing 35 feet more for a total distance of 377.27 feet to an iron stake set on the South margin of the said 35 foot wide graveled street for an ell corner hereof, said point being on the North boundary line of the above referred to tract conveyed by Elfreda Williams to the Urban Renewal Agency; THENCE S 89010'W, 128.97 feet along the North line of the said Williams tract to an iron stake set for the Northwest corner thereof and being an ell corner of this tract; U THENCE South 150.00 feet along the West boundary line of the said Williams Tract and along the East boundary line hereof to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, and containing 188,174 square feet. STATE OF TEXAS KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: COUNTY OF WILLIAMSON I, RUSSELL D. PARKER, do hereby certify that I did survy on the ground the above described tract of land and that to the best of my knowledge and belief, said description is true and correct.
