HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 74-12 - Zoning Ordinance389 ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING- THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, ON THE 12TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1968, AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP, AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF -THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE THAT PARCEL OR TRACT OF LAND IN THE N. PORTER SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO.497, IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, FROM "RS" SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL TO "C213" LOCAL COMMERCIAL SECOND HEIGHT AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: WHEREAS, an Application has been made to the City Council for the purpose of changing the zoning ordinance on the following described real estate; BEING 26.57acres in the N. Porter Survey, Abstract No. 497 in Williamson County, Texas, and being out of and a part of a 36.31 acre tract described in a deed from Russell Parker and wife, Irene Williams Parker to Russell D. Parker and wi-fe, Mary-F. Parker and Rondald W. Parker and wife; Billie Ruth Parker, said deed being of record in Vol. 560, Page 318 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas; and being out of and a part of a 78.2 acre tract of land described in a deed from Russell Parker and wife, Irene Williams Parker to Russell D. Parker and wife, Mary F. Parker and Rondald W. Parker and wife, Billie Ruth Parker, said deed being of record in Vol. 571, Page 148 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas. BEGINNING at a point where the present North City Limits line of the City of Georgetown crosses the North boundary line of the above referred to 72.8 acre tract of land, said point being N 24052'W, 127.3 feet from the most easterly corner of the said 72.8 acre tract; THENCE S 24052' E, 127.3 feet to the most easterly corner of the said 72.8 acre tract, and continuing S 24 23'E, 219.53 feet along the North boundary line of the said 36.31 acre tract of land to the Northeast corner hereof; THENCE S 32034'30"W, 1228.21 feet along the East line hereof to a point on the North boundary line of the Austin Production Credit Association tract of land, said tract being described in a deed of record in Vol. 523, Page 473 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas; THENCE N 78026'W, 445.04 feet with the North Boundary line of the Austin Production Credit Association tract to the most southerly corner thereof; THENCE with the westerly boundary line hereof N 33°40'W, 647.30 feet to a point for the most westerly corner hereof; THENCE N 41013' E, 683.04 feet along the Northwest boundary line hereof to a point on the North City Limits line of the City of Georgetown, Texas; THENCE with the North City Limits line as follows: N 77037' E, 383.72 feet; N 71055' E, 460.85 feet; and S 71014'E, 51.8 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. ��IF AND WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change inthe Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning Commission for its recommendation and report; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above described property from "RS" Single Family Residential to "C213" Local Commercial Second Height, which said descision was reached by the City Planning Commission after having -had a hearing on said matter on May 9, 1974, at 7:30; and, WHEREAS, the City Council before adopting this amendment to the Zoning Ordinance gave notice of such hearing by publishing the same on April 25, 1974 in the Williamson County Sun, a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which said notice stated the time and place of such hearing and which time was not earlier than fifteen (15) days from the first date of such publication; and, WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission approved the aforesaid change in the Zoning Ordinance; said approval being -given by said Commission on May 9, 1974; and, WHEREAS, written notices were given to all of,the owners of the Lots within 200 feet of the above described property as required by law; NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, that, the Zoning. Ordinance, and the Zoning Map of the City of Georgetown, be amended so that: -the property described --above shall be and the same is hereby removed from "RS" Single Family Residential to "C213" Local Commercial Second Height. This ordinance shall become effective on first reading, the second, reading being hereby dispensed with because such passage is for the welfare of the parties involved in that there is a need to commence the changed use of said land.
