STREET DEPARTMENT: Twenty three blocks of paving has beenlaid. Old paving patched and maintained. All drainage ditches were kept

I would like to recommend to you some major jo things to try and
accomplish this coming year.
1. To rebuild our present office building and fire station
according to proposed plans.
2. Zone our City and appoint zoa7 unE commission.
3- Continue to plan and remodel our water treating ;grant i
order to keep pace with the grovT`!l':ng demands.
4. b ontinue our paving program with a goal of not loss than
10 blocks of new pavinS per year.
5, Purchase as street sweeper to enable us to keep our streets
cleaner.
It is with pleasure that I submit to you and the Citizens of
Georgetown this s report of the business and activities of the City for the
fiscal year ending ng August 3, 1959- e We feel that substantial pro T'C-'sss and im-
provements1have been made in keeping Georgetown one of the best ST`1c,ll cities
of this area. 'r+ht_le we are proud of our accomplishments to date, much remains
to be done.
Recognition is due all City Employees -end the department heads for
their hard work, faithfulness 4rza.d willingness to build a better GeorEetown.
Without their hel.p our progress and accomplishments would not have been possible.

Finally it has been you who set the policies which would be in the
Public interest which has enabled the City y Alninistration to bring bout the
accomplishments of which we are all proud.
