HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 03.08.1965 - REZ Country Club Estates Block 1AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE, CITY 01' GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS An amendment to the Ordinance of the City of George- town, Texas, amending the ZONING ORDINANCE which became ef- fective on Zeptember 2, 1961, amending the Zoning District Map and making this amendment a part of the Map of the original ordinance; to change the hereinafter described real estate in said City from "R-l" one family dwelling District to "B-2", Commercial District, as hereinafter set forth. BE IT ORADINED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas: WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the purposes of changing the Zoning Ordinance on the following described real estate: Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block 1, Country Olub Estates, an Addition to the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas. AND WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the pro- posed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning . Commission for its recommendation and report; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above described property from "R-l" to ''B-211 Coi'-rmiercial District, which said meeting was held on February 16, 1965. WHEREAS, the City Council before adopting this amend- ment to said Zoning ordinance gave notice of said hearing by publishing the same three times in the Williamson County Sun, a weekly newspaper in the Oity of GeorEetowng Texas, which said notice stated the time and place of such hearing and which time was not earlier than fifteen (15) days from the first day of such publication; and, WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission approved the afore- said change in the Zoning Ordinance; and no protest was entered opposing the proposed change; and WHEREAS, written notices were given to all of the owners real property within 200 feet of the above described property, as required by law; � U2 NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Cossheil of the City of Georgetown that the Zoning Ordinance ,and ',Zoning Map of said City of Georgetown be amended so that the Jove described property shall be and the same is herety removed. from -R-1" One family dwelling district, to "B-2" Commercial DAtrict. The enactment of this ordinance being necess,.ry to the immediate preservation of public business and tolprovide for the usual daily operation of the municipK neyw1ment, it is declared to oe an emergency measure, which shall iave and take effect following its present reading and adoption.
