HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 10.04.1965 - Abandoning Ice Boxes AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, PROHIBITING ABANDONING DISCARDED ICE BOXES, AND OTHER DEVICES WITH AIR TIGHT LOCKING DEVICES AND PROHIBITING UNCOVERED CISTERNS: It shall be unlawful for any person to leave or peTnit to remain outside of any dwelling, building or other structure, or within any unoccupied or abandoned building, dwelling or other structure under his control, in a place accessible to children, any abandoned, unattended or discarded ice boxes, refrigerator or other container which has an air tight door or lid equipped with a snap look or other device which may not be released from the inside, without first removing the lid or door, snap loc!'7 or other looking d6vice from the ice box, refrigerator or container. It shall be unlawful for any person in -the City of Georgetown, Texas to leave any cistern or well in or near any _public place uncovered, or covered in so in- secire a manner as to endanger the lives or limbs of passersby.
