HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 10.04.1965 - Abandoning Ice BoxesThe operator of any motor vehicle shall not carry any person on the fenders, running boards or bumpers of the vehicle, and no person shall ride on any motor vehicle on that portion not designed or intended for the use of passengers as above described. Any person riding upon any motorcycle, coaster, sled, bicycle, roller skates or any toy vehicle shall not attach the same or himself to any moving vehicle upon any roadway. Any violation of this ordinance shall be punishable by fine of not less than $1.00 nor more than $200.00. The provisions of this Ordinance are severable so that any portion hereof, which might be deemed to be void as a matter of law, shall not affect the validity of any other portion jereof. "—M—ayor ATTEST: Claud Eads, City Secretary AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, PROHIBITING ABANDONING DISCARDED ICE BOXES, AND OTHER DEVICES WITH AIR TIGHT LOCKING DEVICES AND PROHIBITING UNCOVERED CISTERNS: It shall be unlawful for any person to leave or peTnit to remain outside of any dwelling, building or other structure, or within any unoccupied or abandoned building, dwelling or other structure under his control, in a place accessible to children, any abandoned, unattended or discarded ice boxes, refrigerator or other container which has an air tight door or lid equipped with a snap look or other device which may not be released from the inside, without first removing the lid or door, snap loc!'7 or other looking d6vice from the ice box, refrigerator or container. It shall be unlawful for any person in -the City of Georgetown, Texas to leave any cistern or well in or near any _public place uncovered, or covered in so in- secire a manner as to endanger the lives or limbs of passersby.
