The City Council met in regular session on the above date, Mayor
M. F. Smith presiding, the following aldermen and officers beibg present:
F. E. Buchholz, C. C. Hamilton, W. H. Hoffman, Jr., and S. E. Wilcox.
Officers: C. S. Sanders, tax assessor and_collectorp Wayne Magill,
marshal: City Manager.B. H. Cruce, and M. L. Cates, secretary.
On motion of Alderman C. C. Hamilton the minutes of last meeting
were approved.
On motion of Alderman F. E. Buchholz, all approved accounts were ordered
paid.

Council, and read in full.( See pages 150-a to 150e inclusive).
CAPTION --CITY MANAGER ORDINANCE --"An Ordinance Creating the office
of City Manager for the City of Georgetown, Texas, and prescribibg
his powers and duties."
On motion of Alderman S. E. Tilcox, and seconded by AlEarman Buchholz,
the -regular prescribed rules for passing ordinances were suspended, and
declaring the said ordinance be read only by caption, and passed to the
second reading was carried unanimously by the following vote --Ayes--
Buchholz, Hamilton, , Hoffman, Wilcox. Noes --None. (thy Alderman
J. R. Chastain was absent).
On motion of Alderman F. E. Buchholz, seconded by Alderman Hoffman,
that the usual rules for passing ordinances be suspended and the
that the said Ordinance be read by caption and passed to its third reading
was passed by a unanimous vote of the councilmen present, as follows:
Ayes --Buchholz, Hamiltop, Hoffman, 'Wilcox. Noes --!Tone.
Ordinance was read by Caption and on motion of Alderman S. E. T.ilcox,
and seconded by Alderman C. C. Hamilton that the siad ordinance be
finally was carried unanimously by the following vote: Ayes --Buchholz,
Hamilton, Hoffman, 77ilcox. Noes --None.
The Mayor declared the ordinance duly and constitutionally passed.
Mayor M. F. Smith Appointee Yr. B. 771. Cruce as city manager for the
ensuing year at a salary of $250,00 per month, and on motion of Alderman
F. E. Buchholky seconded by Alderman S. 7, 7ileox, the mayor's appoint-
ment was approved under the terms of the aforesaid ordinance, and as
heretofore bonded.
A motion was made by Alderman Buchholz that the city offer[ $25.00
per month for the further maintenance of the Texas Health Clinic in
Georgetown, subject the the approval of the State Health Authorities.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Hoffman, and was passed unanimously.
There appearing no further Business the Council adjourned.
