HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 70-15 - Setting Hearing on ANXM ldhOLUTION ,nRAMUS, on the 19th day, of November, 1970, the Board of Commissioners of the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Georgetown adopted Resolution Number 129, by which the Board accepted the bid of Mrs. Catherine Clarkson for the purchase of parcel F-13, tract of land situated in the South San Gabriel Urban Renewal Project No. TEX R-102 and more particularly described in said Resolution; and, said Resolution Number 129, as an official notion of the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Georgetown, is as public record on file in the ohice of said Agency at 702 Austin Avenue, and said Resolution is incorporated herein by -reference for all purposes; and, 1`;11EAI!2US, an executed copy of said Resolution was forwarded -to the City P Council on the 23rd day of November, 1970, by the Executive Director of the Urban Renewal Agency for approval of the price and conditions of the proposed sale of said property; and, the City Council finds nothing abjectionable concerning the price and conditions of said bid as submitted, and the recommendation of said Urban Renewal Agency Board as contained in said Uesolution Number 129; NOW, TIUOMFOIU,-� BE IT 1?ESOLVE,1D BY THE CITY COU`NCIL 01F TIIE CITY OF GEORGHTOUN: That the price and conditions set forth, in the Bid of Mrs, Catherine Clarkson for the purchase of parcel F-13 in the South San Gabriel Urban Renewal Project No. TEX R-102 are hereby approved. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNiCTI, OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: Section 1. On the 7th day of December, 1970 at 7:30 P.M. o'clock in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Georgetown, Texas the City Council will,hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Georgetown, Texas of the pro- perty described on "Exhibit A" which is attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes. Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Georgetown,is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in'a news -- paper having general circulation in the city and in the above described'territory not more than twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160, Act, of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes).
