A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS, PURSUANT TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, RECOMMENDING INITIATION OF
AN AMENDMENT TO SECTIONS OF THE UNIFIED
DEVELOPMENT CODE RELATED TO TREE PRESERVATION,
IMPERVIOUS COVER LIMITATIONS, AND PEDESTRIAN AND
VEHICLE CIRCULATION MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, on March 11, 2003, the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, adopted a set of comprehensive development regulations known as the Unified
Development Code ("UDC") via Ordinance No. 2003-16, which codified various zoning
and subdivision standards; and
WHEREAS, the 2003 UDC established submittal requirements and criteria for
approval for development applications; and
WHEREAS, the above identified UDC amendments have received direction via the
2030 Plan, City Council workshop, and discussion with the UDC Steering Committee ;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution
are hereby found and declared to be true and correct and are incorporated by reference herein
and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
SECTION 2: The City Council finds that revisions to sections of the UDC related to
tree preservation, impervious cover, and pedestrian and vehicle circulation are consistent
with approval criteria in Section 3.05.05 of the UDC.
SECTION 3: The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to attest
this Resolution.
SECTION 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
