HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 82-36 - Airport Regulations; Zoning Amendment; Final Plat Whisper Oaks415 ORDINANCE 82-36 AN AMENDMENT TO AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING RULES AND REGULATIONS CONCERNING THE GEORGETOWN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT;PROVIDING THAT NO PERSON SHALL -USE THE AIRPORT FOR CARRYING ON OF COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES, FOR INSTRUCTION IN AVIATION IN ANY OF ITS BRANCHES, FOR SALE OF ANY COMMODITIES, ETC. UNLESS APPROVED BY WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM THE CITY COUNCIL; PROVIDING FOR GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS IN THE USE OF THE AIRPORT; ESTABLISHES AIRPORT RESTRICTED AREAS AND RULES; REGULATING AIR AND GROUND TRAFFIC; REGULATING THE USE OF AIRCRAFT ENGINES; PROVIDING FOR FIRE REGULATIONS; REGULATING STUDENT TRAINING AND PRACTICE FLYING; REGULATING HELICOPTER, GLIDER AND PARACHUTE OPERATIONS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT IN RULES; PROVIDING A PENALTY OF $200.00 FOR VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR A SAVING CLAUSE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY FOR ENACTMENT OF ORDINANCE. WHEREAS, The City of Georgetown did duly pass and approve the 00 above captioned ordinance on the 14th of November, 1978; and co WHEREAS, The above captioned ordinance is in need of ammendment; now Q THEREFORE be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Q Georgetown that Section 2, rule 5 is hereby ammended to read as follows: SECTION 2, RULE 5 UNAUTHORIZED SIGNS. No signs or equipment or portable buildings and housetrailers may be erected, moved in or installed except as may be specifically authorized by the City Council. McMASTER, CITY ATTORNEY �,\Z) 416 ORDINANCE # 82-36 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1.205 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, AND PROVIDING THAT ALL NEW TERRITORY HEREAFTER ANNEXED TO THE CITY BE CLASSIFIED AS RS DISTRICT UNLESS REZONED AS PROVIDED BY LAW OR AS -SET OUT,HEREIN BY GIVING WRITTEN NOTICE TO THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT AND FOL- LOWING ALL PROCEDURAL REQUIREMENTS AS REQUIRED BY LAW BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, that Section 1.205 of the Zoning Ordinance as amended, passed and approved on the 13th day of February, 1979, is hereby rescinded and in lieu thereof'BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown that Section 1.205 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Georgetown shall hereafter read as follows: Section 1.205 LAND ANNEXED TO CITY: All new territory hereafter annexed to the City of Georgetown shall be classified as RS District upon annexation. Such property may be rezoned as provided herein or as otherwise provided by law. Prior to annexation, should any party in interest make written application to the Planning Department that such property to be annexed be zoned other than RS District, then all procedural requirements as set out by law for the rezoning of property shall be followed, and may be carried out prior to such annexation as if such property were already annexed and zoned RS District, except that the final reading of any ordinance rezoning such property from RS District to another classification shall be after the final reading of the ordinance annexing the property. Those portions of the zoning ordinance not mentioned or affected by this amendment shall remain in full force and effect. If any paragraph, clause, phrase or other part of this amendment should for any reason be held invalid, such invalidity should not affect the remaining provisions of this amendment and to this end the various provisions of this amendment are hereby declared to be severable.
