Consideration and possible action to approve minutes from April 2023 - Amanda Parr,
Board Chair
Moved by Ned Atkins; seconded by Amanda Parr to Approve Board members signified
that they had read the minutes and had no corrections. Motion to approve the minutes
for July as presented..
Motion Approved: 3- 0
Voting For: Laura Klein Plunkett, April Haughey, William Gregory
Voting Against: None
1.B Meeting Times
Discussion on future meeting days and times - Amanda Parr, Board Chair
State law requires the board to meet a minimum of three times a year. The board
discussed meeting options and agreed to stay on the current quarterly schedule. The
next meeting will be January 11, 2024.

Thursday, November 2, 2023
The Georgetown Animal Shelter Advisory Board met on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 6:00 PM at City
Hall Large Conference Room, 808 Martin Luther King Jr. St., Georgetown, TX 78626.
The City of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If you

1.C Statistics
Presentation of Animal Services Statistics for FY23 year end - April Haughey, Animal
Services Manager
a. Intake was 1314 FY23 vs, 1297 FY22, with owner surrenders at 12% of intake.
b. LRR was 93.9%, qualifying for the 9th year on a row of No-Kill status
c. Length of stay averaged 13 days.
d. 3622 ACO calls for FY23.
1.D Potential Partnership with WCRAS
Discussion of current status of the exploration of a partnership between the City of
Georgetown Animal Shelter and Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter - April
Haughey, Animal Services Manager, and Jack Daly, Assistant Director of Public Works
April showed the board an informational presentation originally created for meetings
with
each entity’s volunteer groups. The presentation outlined the conditions for a
partnership, the
potential benefits to each entity, combined intake and capacity projections, and site
plan and
elevation renderings. April discussed with the board some possible operational
changes that
might result from a partnership.
Public Wishing to Address the Board
On a subject that is posted on this agenda: Please fill out a speaker registration form which can be found on the
table at the entrance to the meeting room. Clearly print your name and the letter of the item on which you wish
to speak and present it to the Board Liaison prior to the start of the meeting. You will be called forward to speak
when the Board considers that item. Only persons who have delivered the speaker form prior to the meeting
being called to order may speak. Speakers will be allowed up to three minutes to speak. If you wish to speak for
six minutes, it is permissible to use another requestor’s granted time to speak. No more than six minutes for a
speaker may be granted. The requestor granting time to another speaker must also submit a form and be present
at the meeting.
O n a subject not posted on the agenda: A request must be received by the A dvisory Board or C ommission L iaison
prior to the day the agenda for this mee*ng is posted. Each speaker will be given three minutes to address the
Board or Commission members. No action can be taken.
