Lashley reviewed his report with the board (attached). He also provided updates on the meeting with

have an estimated thirty thousand dollars to create an outdoor arts project, utilizing the Covey archite
firm. City staff have discussed options such as a farmers market, sculpture garden, shade structures

—Eric Lashley, Library Director.
Lashley asked the board to consider making changes to the current structure of the arts and cu ture
grant program. The current program is contingent upon funding from the City and allows individuals or
non -profits to apply for one of two rounds within the City's fiscal year. This model is confusing both to
staff and applicants. Lashley proposed doing one call per calendar year that will cover events taking
place within an 18 month period, instead of the two 6 months rounds currently in place. The goal is to
make the grant timelines more straightforward so the program can eliminate barriers for individuals and
non -profits who may want to apply. No action required.
F. —Eric Lashley, Library Director.
Lashley announced that the Arts and Culture Coordinator position had been posted on the City's
website. Lashley has put together a panel who will conduct interviews for the selected applicants. No
