3E` IT LRDAMD by the City `'ouncil of the City of
Georgetown, Texas.
Section 1. That in all cases wherein under the law
now in force or that may herafter be in force, providing for
the charging and collecting a fee for the office of Recorder,
in criminal cases, such fee shall be charged and collected
and such fee shall be paid into the City Treasury.
Section 2. That in all criminal cases wherein there is
a trial, a plea of guilty, a conviction or an acquital, there
shall be paid to the Mayor the same fees that are now charged
and collected or may be hereafter charged and collected for
such oiiicer in maier of a plea of guilty or a conviction;
provided, however the fees due and payable to the Mayors as
Recorder fees, shall not be dependant upon a plea of guilty
or conviction, but shall be also payable in cases of a trial
and acquittal. That all fees due to the Ilayor as Recorder,
shall be paid on warrants drawn of the City Treasury as other
claims and accounts against the City are paid.
Section 3. That the fact that there is an uncertainty
as to the validity of the ordinances heretofore in effect
upon the subject covered b' this ordinance creates an emer-
gancy and public necessity that the rules be suspended and
that this ordinance be at once passed, and that it take effect
from and after the passage of the same.
