The City of Georgetown Civil Service Commission met on February 6,,2024, at 10:30a.m. at the City of
Georgetown City Hall — 808 Martin Luther King Jr. Street, Georgetown, TX 78626
In attendance were; Commissioners John Philpott, Luis Zarnot, & Gordon Pierce, Merrilee Paige, Robyn
Iverson, and Jeff Davis

A. Consideration and possible approval of minutes from January 2, 2024
a. Motion to approve by Commissioner John Philpott 2n' Luis Zamot, passed 3-0
B. Consideration and possible action to certify the Fire Department Fire & Life Safety Specialist
Promotional Examination Eligibility List
a. Motion to certify the Fire & Life Safety Specialist Eligibility List for a period of 12
months by Commissioner Luis Zamot, 2,d John Philpott, passed 3-0
C. Consideration and possible action to certify the Fire Department Battalion Chief Promotional
Examination Eligibility List
a. Motion to certify the Battalion Chief Eligibility List for a period of 12 months by
Commissioner John Philpott, 2 nd Luis Zamot, passed 3-0
D. Update to Commission related to Civil Service items by Civil Service Director
a. Discussion on vacancies in the Fire Department, we are fully staffed as January 29, 2024
b. Discussion on vacancies in the Police Department, we anticipate being fully staff by the
end of February 2024
