MEMBERS PRESENT: Rita Healy, Rachel Cummins, Georgene Ric aud; Jim Wilson, Al Sha le (Arrived at 8:43 a.m) MEMBERS ABSENT: Stephanie Blanck, Tauyna Vessels; STAFF P SENT: Cari Miller, Marie Woodard Regular Session 1. Chair Ric and called the meeting to order at 8:3 8 a.m. Legislative Regular Session 2. Discussion and possible action regarding approval of the October 11, 2018 minutes - Georgene Richaud Motion by Wilson, second by Cummins to approve the September 13, 2018 minutes Approved 4- (Shankkle arrived after~ the vote) 3. Discussion and possible action regarding the Texas Health & Human Services Transportation Grant Application — Cari Miller, Tourism. Manager After a review of the application and discussion the following motion was made. Motion by Cummins, second by Wilson to approve the grant request in the amount of -0�eytaznedje_ 4. Discussion and possible action regarding the Texas A&M Master Naturalist Annual Conference Transportation Great - Cari Miller, Tourism Manager and Marie Woodard, Group Sales and Servicing Coordinator Item pulled from the agenda. 5. Discussion and possible action regarding the 2019 Red Poppy Festival Food Vendor Fees Cari Miller, Tourism Manager The Board discussed the food vendor fees for the food court area between Austin Avenue and Rock Street that was added in 2018. Due to the food vendors in this area not having access to electricity or water, the Board decided to reduce the food vendor fee for this area only. Following discussion, the following motion was made. 9/13/1 1 Motion by Healy, second by Cummins to change the 2019 Red Poppy Festival Food Vendor fee for the food court located between Rock Street and Austin Avenue to $800. Approved 5-0 6. Discussion and possible action regarding advertising and media exposure and dates of upcoming events - Cari .Miller, Tourism Manager and Susan Watkins Miller provided current status of the CVB's advertising and media activities.
