The General Government and Finance Advisory Board met on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 4:30 PM at City
Hall, 808 Martin Luther King Jr Street, Georgetown, Texas

A. Election of a Vice Chair and Secretary for the General Government and Finance Advisory Board —Kevin

Motion to nominate David Griffith to Secretary and Michael Charles to Vice President ____Tommy
Gonzales , second by Kevin Pitts . Approved 4-0 John Price Absent
B. Review and Discuss General Government and Finance Board (GGAF) purpose and bylaws- Kevin Pitts,
Board Chair
All reviewed and no questions. No action needed.
C. Review and Discuss General Government and Finance Board (GGAF) purpose and bylaws Kevin Pitts,
Board Chair
David talked about items that would come to the board and explained that they are reviewing all boards
and commissions within the City at this time. No action needed.

D. Discuss dates/times for future General Government and Finance Board (GGAF) — Kevin Pitts, Board
Chair
Kevin proposed changing the meeting to the First Wednesday of the month and moving the meeting to
4:00 pm. The board requested Sharon contact Board member John Price to see if the new date and time
would work for him. The other board members were all okay with the new date and time. Sharon will
send notice to board members after she contacts Board member John Price.
E. Consideration and possible action to approve the minutes from the March 2, 2022, General
Government and Finance Advisory Board Meeting — Sharon Parker, Board Liaison.
Motion to approve the minutes as presented by _D2MMy Gonzales second by Kevin Pitts

Introduction of new Board members.
F. Review any items that bypassed a GGAF meeting due to timing and went to Council — Kevin Pitts,
Board Chair
Kevin proposed removing this item from future agendas, the purpose of this item was to keep the board
informed of items that may have bypassed GGAF and went directly to Council during Covid and when
meetings were having to be canceled.
All agreed, this item is no longer needed.
G. Consideration and possible action to approve the purchase of uniforms from GALLS Inc. using the Buy
Board Contract #587-19 at a total cost not to exceed $160,000.00 for the fiscal year 2021-2022 — Clay
Shell, Assistant Fire Chief
Chief shell discussed the uniforms to be purchases and explained nothing has changes just adding to
inventory for new employees and normal wear and tear. Ed explained what a Buy Board program is.
Motion to recommend to the City Council the approval of the purchase of uniforms from GALLS Inc as
presented by staff by Tommy Gonzales second by; Michael Charles

H. Consideration and possible action to approve the purchase of fire and rescue equipment from Metro
Fire Apparatus Specialist using the Buy Board Contract #603-20 at a total cost not to exceed
$90,000.00 for the fiscal year 2021-2022 — Clay Shell, Assistant Fire Chief

Chief Shell presented the types of equipment they would be purchase and explained they will still be
within budget.
Motion to recommend to the City Council the approval of the purchase of Fire Apparatus Equipment from
Metro Fire Apparatus Specialist as presented by staff by Tommy Gonzales , second by Michael
Charles . Approved 4-0 John Price Absent
I. Consideration and possible action to approve the purchase of emergency medical supplies from
Bound Tree Medical LLC using the Buy Board Contract #610-20 at a total cost not to exceed
$140,000.00 for the fiscal year 2021-2022 — Clay Shell, Assistant Fire Chief
Chief Shell presented the types of supplies they would be purchase and explained they will still be within
budget.
