The Georgetown Historic and Architectural Review Commission met on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at
6:00 PM at Council and Court Building, 510 W 9th Street.
The City of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If

Public Wishing to Address the Board
Please fill out a speaker registration form which can be found on the
table at the entrance to the meeting room. Clearly print yourr name and the letter of the item on which you
wish to speak and present it to the Board Liaison prior to the start of the meeting. You will be called forward to
speak when the Board considers that item, Only persons who have delivered the speaker form prior to the
meeting being called to order may speak. Speakers will be allowed up to three minutes to speak. If you wish to
speak for six minutes, it is permissible to use another requestor's • time to speak. No more than six
and be present at the meeting.

1.A Meeting Minutes
Consideration and possible action to approve the minutes from the June 26, 2025, meeting
of the Historic and Architectural Review Commission -- Erica Dunlop, Planning Specialist
Due to the absence of the Chair and Vice Chair, the commission appointed an acting
chair for the meeting.
Moved by Lawrence Romero; seconded by Robert Blomquist to nominate
Commissioner Evan Hein as acting chair.
Motion Approved: 5- 0
Voting For: Lawrence Romero, Evan Klein, Phil Rotheram, Robert Blomquist, Stuart
Garner
Voting Against: None
Acting Chair Hein requested to include the discussion about the cost estimate to repair the
windows within the June 26, 2025, Historic and Architectural Review Commission meeting
minutes.
Moved by Lawrence Romero-, seconded by Robert Blomquist to Approve the minutes
from the June 26, 2025, • of the Historic and Architectural Review Commission
with the addition of the request to include information on the estimates that were
provided to repair the windows.
Motion Approved: 4- 0

Kimberly Spencer, Assistant Planning Director, approached the podium to address the
commission and explained that due to the potential loss of quorum during the meeting and
® of a large infill project, staff requested that the commission postponed both

Public Hearing and possible action on a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA)
for new building construction for the property located at 205 W 6th Street bearing the legal
description of Lot 2, Block 28, City of Georgetown (Block 28 lots 1-08 Amending Plat)
(2025-23-COA) -- Olivia Beams, Historic and Downtown Planner
Larry Olsen, 903 E 9th Street, signed up to speak, but was not present during this time due
to the announced request to postpone both agenda items.
Moved by Lawrence Romero; seconded by Phil Rotheram to Postpone to Date Cert'--&

Public Hearing and possible action on a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness
(COA) for new signage that is inconsistent with applicable guidelines for the property
located at 712 S Austin Avenue, bearing the legal description of Part of lot 5, Block 41,
City of Georgetown (2025-22-COA) -- Olivia Beams, Historic and Downtown Planner
Moved by Lawrence Romero; seconded by Robert Blomquist to Postpone to Date
Certain item 1.0 to the July 24, 2025, Historic and Architectural Review Commission
meeting.

liams explained that staff were actively working with the applicant to possibly bring the
case to the commission in August.
