Housing Advisory Board Members: Carol Parsonage, Cynthia Anderson, Dan Bonner, Deena Berg, Emily Northrop, Hartley Sappington, Janis Cowman-Arteaga, John Gavurnik, Larkin Tom, Nancy Biggs, Naomi Walker Housing Advisory Board meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 03:00 PM. Call to Order at 03:00 PM A.Call to order. B.Induction of Board Members C.Discussion of possible applicants for unfilled Housing Advisory Board membership spots. D.Discussion of establishing bylaws, electing officers, and ethics training. E.Ethics training. F.Discussion of Housing Coordinator position. G.Discussion of next meeting date and agenda items. Board Members Present: Cynthia Anderson, Deena Berg, Nancy Biggs, Janis Cowman-Arteaga, Hartley Sappington, Naomi Walker Board Members Absent: Dan Bonner, Carol Parsonage Staff Present: Robyn Rye - Administrative Assistant, Rebecca Rowe - Planner Minutes Regular Meeting The Agenda Items were discussed in the following order: A.Call to order. - The meeting was called to order at 3:00pm. C.Discussion of possible applicants for unfilled Housing Advisory Board membership spots. - Update was given by Robyn Rye on current status of board members. General discussion regarding who could fill remaining Board positions for Council Districts One and Seven and the Builder/Developer position. D.Discussion of establishing bylaws, electing officers, and ethics training. - General discussion regarding the establishment of bylaws. Members decided to wait to elect officers until all Board positions were filled. General discussion of ethics material as provided in new board member packets. F.Discussion of Housing Coordinator position. - General discussion of current status of Housing Coordinator position and where it is in the budget process. Hartley Sappington shared with the board the information he has received during a meeting with Tom Yantis, Assistant City Manager and Paul E. Brandenburg, City Manager. Sappington said that the current issue with the position is finding room in the budget. G.Discussion of next meeting date and agenda items. - General discussion of maintaining same meeting day - third Wednesday of the month. Members decided the Wednesday meeting time works well and is convenient for group. Members decided that they would meet a minimum of four times a year while maintaining their usually monthly meetings. Members decided to consider moving the meeting time to 3:30pm once the school year had started. E.Ethics training. - Board members reviewed the ethics packet and watched the Attorney General's Open Meetings Act training video. B.Induction of Board Members - Present board members were inducted and completed all necessary forms. H.Adjourn - The meeting was adjourned at 5:00pm Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at 05:00 PM.
