The Georgetown Housing Advisory Board met on Monday, November 14,2022 at 2:30 PM at Historic
Light and Waterworks Building, 809 Martin Luther King, Jr Street.

Consideration and possible action to approve the minutes from the September 19,
2022 regular meeting of the Housing Advisory Board - Jessica Lemanski, Planning
Specialist

1.B Educational Outreach Discussion
Presentation and discussion on strategies for outreach to promote educational
material on housing programs for the remainder of 2022 and early 2023. - Cesar

Cesar Acosta presented the staff report and reviewed the goals set forth for the board to
expand their community outreach efforts this year and into next.
Acosta reviewed the last HAB meeting and the recent improvements to the Georgetowm
Housing website, and he established the goals for today's meeting. I

Discussion on who to Invite to the Georgetown Neighborhood Round Table Meeting and

lack of housing, the Caring Place, Churches, and Helping Hands. Discussion on other
options for community outreach, including social media, the Georgetown Round Table
events, and physical posters around town. Board Member Carlton suggested a one-
sheeter for the most relevant information, and Acosta established that there will be an info
sheet as well as a link to it on the HAB website to make it easier for residents to access
Discussion on public events happening soon, Including the Christmas Stroll, Public
Engagement regarding the Future Mobility Plan, and Georgetown Project Collaborative
Meeting. Suggestions of other public outreach opportunities include KGTN,
Southwestern University events, Lone Star Circle of Care, newsletters for GISD, PTA
events, and information cards with the most helpful links.
Cash asked guests if they had any other suggestions on how to reach out to the public.
Suggestions included links on GHI's webpage to the HAB resources landing page,

a collaborative meeting with staff and the Board.

Discussion on Quarterly Meeting Schedule for 2023 Calendar year. - Cesar Acosta,
