The City of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The following Members were in attendance: Present were: Susan Cooper, Nosa Asowata, Susan Poyo, Laura M Helpert, Dustin Lujan Morales -excused absence 1. Regular Session 1.A LAB Minutes Consideration and possible action to approve the July 2, 2024 Library Advisory Board minutes --Nosa Asowata, Board Chair Moved by Susan Cooper; seconded by Susan R Poyo to Approve minutes as provided. Motion Approved: 5- 0 Voting For: Susan Cooper, Nosa Asowata, Susan R Poyo, Laura M Helpert, Dustin Lujan Voting Against: None 1.13 LibraryDirector's Report Consideration of the Library Director's report -- Sally Miculek, Library Director Miculek announced that Susan Biggs resigned from the board and Susan Raser has been recommended for appointment. New board members will be appointed at the September 10 council meeting. Raser was present to observe the Library Board prior to her appointment. Miculek provided updates on the second floor re -carpeting project, end of summer programs, budget presentations, library grants, and the upcoming meetings for the Long -Range Plan project. No action required. 1.0 Meeting schedule Consideration and possible action to change the Library Advisory Board's regular meeting schedule —NosaAsoxvata,Chair ' The next regularly scheduled meeting falls on Election Day, so board members voted to reschedule tmallow everyone the opportunity tovote. Clearly print your name and the letter of the item on which you wish to speak and present it to the Board Liaison prior to the start of the meeting. You will be called forward to speak when the Board considers that item. Only persons who have delivered the speaker form prior to the meeting being called to order may speak. Speakers will be allowed up to three minutes to speak. If you wish to speak for six minutes, it is permissible to use another requestor's granted time to speak. Nnmore than six minutes for a speaker may begranted. The requestor granting time to another speaker must also submit a form and be present atthe meeting. A request must be received by the Advisory Board or Commission Liaisor prior to the day the agenda for this meeting is posted. Each speaker will be given three minutes to address the Board orCommission members. Noaction can betaken. None present.
