Board Members Present: Patty Eason, Bryant Boyd, Glenda Overfelt, Joshua McClure, Ellie Skross, Liz Atherton, Robert Weimer Board Members Absent: Staff Present: Shannon Baldridge, Tina Dunbar, Erin McDonald Minutes Regular Meeting I.Call to order – Meeting was called to order at 8:32 a.m. II.Discussion and possible action regarding approval of February 20, 2003, minutes – Item deferred to next meeting (Motion by McClure, seconded by Overfelt) III.Staff Report Webmaster McDonald presented possibilities for the Main Street Website. Baldridge discussed objectives for Board activities and future meetings. IV.Discussion and possible action regarding nominations for Board officers and committees – Item deferred to Board retreat. V.Discussion and possible action regarding guidelines for banners Overfelt explained that she has created a “position” paper not actual guidelines for banners. She presented her draft “position” paper and explained each item. VI.Consideration and possible action regarding project financing options Baldridge explained that City leaders will have a meeting on this topic next week. She will update the Board on the result of that meeting at the Board retreat. VII.Consideration and possible action regarding unified tourism planning Baldridge explained her work with tourism and notified the Board that the City is working toward a unified tourism message. VIII.Consideration and possible action regarding work to be completed a. Defer until Mr. Walker is in attendance b. Overfelt gave report on the progress of 2003 Red Poppy Festival planning committee c. Boyd gave update on review process of Façade Fund applicants d. & e. Dunbar and Boyd gave information on the economic development brochure IX.Discussion and possible action regarding agenda items for the next meeting of the Board. VII.Adjourn
