Regular Session I.A Call to order Call to order - Michele jaroszewski-Webb, Board Chair 9:02arn 1.13 Staff Introductions Introduction of Spring Intern - Kim McAuliffe, Downtown and Tourism Director Kim introduced the department's spring intern Katie Markey to the board. I.0 Approval of minutes Consideration and approval of the December 13, 2024 minutes - Michele jaroszewski- Webb, Board Chair Moved by Markus Lindsey; seconded by Evan Cuyler to Approve. Motion Approved: 6- 0 Voting For: Trisha R Tallman, Michele Djaroszewski-Webb, Lauren A Romero, Jennifer L Ridings-myhra, Evan Cuyler, Markus Lindsey Voting Against: None 1.D Board Volunteer Time Record board volunteer time - N]rn McAuliffe, Downtown and Tourism Director 1.E Project Team & Project Updates Discussion on Project Teams, Partner updates, and BRIE Visits - Michele Jaroszewski- Webb, Board Chair # Swirl - The event is Saturday, March 1 and there were only 60 tickets left as of yesterday for the event this year. The volunteer sign-up email will go out soon. * Blazin' Beer - Main St. & the DGA had a few meetings to discuss the possibility of changing this event to an Octoberfest, no action was taken just discussion. The board & staff shared their concerns about this possible change. * Team Inventory - Staff are working to get feedback from the Downtown Georgetown Business Survey and scheduling BRIE visists. • Code Compliance has been out to talk to Downtown Businesses about the A - frame signs. • Mapping & Wayfincling - finalizations are being worked on for placement and Preservation Georgetown - The Home Tour was very successful and planning for this year's event has already begun. The VIP had some new additions, including vans for transportation. Light & Water Works - demolition has begun and progress for design elements are underway. Preservation Month - May is Preservation Month, staff will consider having this be a topic for the May Breakfast Bites. Chamber Annual Awards Banquet - This will be on February 6th 1.F Staff Report Staff Report - Kim McAuliffe, Downtown and Tourism Director 10 TFEA - While attending the event awards were presented and Georgetown received 2 for their events. • Best Commemorative Poster - Georgetown Swirl 2024 o Best Mascot - Coffee & Cocoa Crawl 2024 • Facade Grant Fund - Current balance is $86,013.50. There are a few applications that will be coming to the board in the next few months. • Christmas Ornaments - There are about 40 ornaments remaining if they are not sold by the end of January they will go into storage until next year. • Georgetown Antique Mall - after 40 years this store will be closing. • A new restaurant taking over the old Barrels & Amps old location that is facing 8th St. We will be taking a field trip to San Marcus & Austin to look at some possibilities for changes outside this location. • Board Retreat - the board discussed possible locations to go this year. They would like to find options that have the Main Street Accreditation. • Annual Accreditation - this has been submitted. • Kim will be speaking at the National Main Street Conference in Philadelphia in April. The Texas Main Street Program will be in June in Austin. Staff will be attending and Kim opened it to board members to also attend. 2025 Women in Travel Conference will be hosted here in Georgetown at the Sheraton, March 27th & 28th.
