The Georgetown Main Street Advisory Board met on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 9:00 AM at City Hall,
808 Martin Luther King Jr. Street.

1.0 Board Volunteer Time

Board members entered their volunteer time for the month.
1.D Facade & Sign Grant Fund Application
Consideration and possible action on a Main Street Facade Grant request for 718 S.
Austin Avenue — Kim McAuliffe, Downtown & Tourism Director
request as submitted up to $10,000.

1.E Project Team & Project Updates
Discussion on Project Teams, Partner updates, and BRE Visits - Evan Cuyler, Board
Vice Chair
Georgetown Swirl is coming up on March 1 st. Final touches of the event are being
made in preparation. There will be 21 total spots will be participating, 10 wine stops
and 11 food stops.
• Blazin' Beer Crawl will remain the same and looking at the first Saturday in
August. Staff is brain storming ideas to make this a cooler event. Planning wil.
kick off in May, after Swirl and Red Poppy.
• Board Retreat will be in either May or June, the board will need to be thinking
about date and location.
City Center - Evan gave and update on the status of this project.
Parking Garage - Kim gave an update on the status of this project.
Kim discussed other updates with Downtown Business and BRE visits.
1.F Staff Report
Staff Report - Kim McAuliffe, Downtown and Tourism Director
Facade Grant - no updates on this other than the additional approval from today of
$10,000.
• Business & Development - a new business will be coming into Downtown: Red
Horn Coffee House and Brewing Company will be opening a new location in the
old Black Sugar Coffee on 7th St. The former Williamson County Sun Office space
is being pre -leased and LOIs for retail only are currently being accepted. The
Antique Mail space is also accepting I-Ols for this space as well and the owner
would also prefer retail. The location on the corner of 7th and Forest is currently
being worked to accommodate a restaurant and bar.
• Other Events - 1 st Friday Music and 2nd Saturday Market Days both start in
March.
