The Georgetown Youth Advisory Board will meet on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at 04:30 PM in the
Parks and Recreation Conference Room, 1003 North Austin Ave., Georgetown, Texas.

Youth Advisory Board Mission Statement
The Georgetown Youth Advisory Board provides a means for youth to unite the community,
promote healthy decisions and create leadership skills to create solutions for the benefit of all.
Notice is hereby given that the Georgetown Youth Advisory Board will hold a meeting on
Tuesday, September 21, 2004, at 4:30 p.m. in the Conference Room at the Parks and
Recreation Building, located at 1003 N. Austin Ave. Georgetown, Texas.

The Georgetown Youth Advisory Board of the City of Georgetown, Texas, met on Tuesday , September
21, 2004.
Board Members Present:
Amanda Hanson-Emerson, Rebecca Counts, Elissa Delmatier, Phillip May, Jonathan Soape, Steffanie
Sikes, James Johnson
Board Members Absent:
Candice Butler, Jennifer Daleiden, Jillian Daleiden, Leah Martinez, Rachel Heish, Meredith Morrow

Regular Meeting
CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Rebecca Counts calls the meeting to order at 4:55 PM at the Parks and Recreations Conference
room.
II.REPORT ON VACATION PARTY
Brenda Culver reports that there were over 200 students at the Back to School Event and
everyone seemed to enjoy the festivities.
III.REPORT ON PROP 2 BOND ELECTION
Brenda Culver repots on the upcoming Bond and hands out information about the Bond and what
factual information the Board is allowed to discuss in their role as Georgetown Youth Advisory
Board members.
IV.DISSCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON THE CALENDAR
The Board discussed having the GYAB Retreat October 2nd and 3rd, to expidite the team
building aspects of the retreat as well as to familirize the new members with the Bylaws,
Calender, and Community Service aspect of Board. Members also discussed participating in a
cleaning day at the Heritage Community Gardens on October 30th , . The group also agreed to
participate in the Parks and Recreation's Haunted Hayride on October 28, 2004. Planning for the
Hayride will be on October 12th and 26th, at the Georgetown Recreation Center Confcerence
Room at 4:30 p.m.. Members also discussed continuing the Annual Veteren's Day Appreciation
on November 11th at the area Nursing Homes and the Annual Christmas Caroling at the local
Nursing Homes on December 18, 2004. Elissa motions to approve the dates for the calender.
Jomathan Soape seconds. Vote 8-0 in favor.
V.DISSCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON PHONE TREE
Brenda will start calling and mailing all members with the upcoming meetings and dates of
Board activities.

Rebecca Counts moves to adjourn the meeting, Elissa Delmatier seconds.
