Call to Order at 04:30 PM NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS Tuesday, February 15, 2005 Youth Advisory Board Mission Statement The Georgetown Youth Advisory Board provides a means for youth to unite the community, promote healthy decisions and create leadership skills to create solutions for the benefit of all. Notice is hereby given that the Georgetown Youth Advisory Board will hold a meeting on Tuesday, February 15, 2005, at 4:30 p.m. in the Conference Room at the Parks and Recreation Building, located at 1003 N. Board Members Present: Candice Butler, Amanda Hanson-Emerson, Rebecca Counts, Elissa Delmatier, Phillip May, Meredith Morrow, Jonathan Soape, Rachel McNutt, Melissa McNutt, Jonathan Patterson Board Members Absent: Steffanie Sikes, Jacob Wolfman, Kammie Wolfman Staff Present: Brenda J. Culver, Laurie Brewer & Micki Rundell Minutes Regular Meeting I.CALL MEETING TO ORDER Rebecca Counts calls the meeting to order at 4:40 PM at the Parks and Recreations Conference room. II.APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES Rebecca Counts moves to approve meeting minutes for February 2, 2005. Jonathan Soape seconds. III.DISCUSSION AND POSSRIBLE ACTION ON BUDGET MIcki Rundell and Laurie Brewer open the discussion by explaining the budgetary process. Board members were asked to identify major areas of concern for the Board. Traffic, growth, and historical charm of the City were brought up as well as future developments to the area. Micki asked the Board to identify the short term and logterm goals of GYAB to improve the budget process. Boardmembers will bring the completed questionaires to the next meeting so that they can be forwarded to Micki for review. Board will review the exsisting budget at the next meeting to discuss any changes. IV.DISSCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON TEEN FEST Brenda opens discussion on Teen Fest and the possible name change. The Board discussed several names and came up with Georgetown City Limits to replace the exsisting name. Rebecca Counts motions to adopted the name. Elissa Delmatier seconds. 10 - 0 in favor of name change. Brenda will research the use of the name and it's availability. Duties were then assigned for the upcoming event. The event has a $1,000.00 budget. V.DISSCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON CALENDAR Thanks goes out to the Cupid's Chase volunteers. There are no events scheduled for the remainder of February. The next event is a tournament night at the Recreartion Center in March. The group also schedules upcoming committee meetings. VI..ADJOURN Candice Butler motions to adjourn the meeting.
