The Georgetown Youth Advisory Board will meet on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 05:00 PM in the
Parks and Recreation Conference Room, 1003 North Austin Ave., Georgetown, Texas.

The Georgetown Youth Advisory Board of the City of Georgetown, Texas, met on Tuesday , November
20, 2007.
Board Members Present:
Kelsey Wright, Crystal Pratt, Sam Doocy, Kate Doocy, Amanda Hanson-Emerson, Melissa McNutt,
Rachel McNutt, Spencer Regean, Jacob Wolfman
Board Members Absent:
Ryan Varner, Will Foster, Shawn Delaney Hicks

Regular Meeting
Youth Advisory Board Mission Statement
The Georgetown Youth Advisory Board provides a means for youth to unite the community,
promote healthy decisions and create leadership skills to create solutions for the benefit of all.
1.Board meeting called to order at 5:10 pm by Amanda Hanson- Emerson.
2.Brenda opens discussion on the upcoming Teen Forum December 8, 2007. The Forum
will bring GYAB, the Georgetown Projects Youth Action Council, Student leaders together with
Parks and Recreation Director, Kimberly Garrett to discuss the new Teen Center. There will be
leadership training, initiatives, lunch, and then discussion on the Teen Center construction.
Jacob makes a motion that GYAB participate, Melissa McNutt seconds. All in favor 9-0.
3. Jacob leads discussion on the Calendar with the upcoming Jingle Bell Social & Toy Drive
on December 8, 2007, at the Recreation Center from 3-6 pm.
4.Brenda opens the discussion on the GYAB Retreat. Majority want the Retreat to be held
in the Spring. April will be the month and a date will be set at the next meeting.
5. Brenda leads discussion on the Jingle Bells Social & Toy Drive. The event is for Special
Needs individuals 15 years and up. Volunteers are needed as Santa's Helpers for this event. Kate
motions that GYAB participate, Rachel McNutt seconds. All in favor 9-0-
6. Kate moves to adjourn at 5:58 pm. Jacob seconds.
