Call to Order at 05:45 PM Consideration and possible action to approve minutes from January 9 meeting- Rachel Konovodoff Review of YAC Summit- Tyler Willrich, Sara Peacock, Claire Janes, Parket Tadlock, Jade Moffett Consideration and possible action to approve service project for February- Katie Sofranko Discussion of presentation to City Council- Tyler W illrich Certificate of Posting I, Jessica Brettle, City Secretary for the City of Georgetown, Texas, do hereby certify that this Notice of Meeting was posted at City Hall, 113 E. 8th Street, a place readily accessible to the general public at all times, on the _____ day of _________________, 2012, at __________, and remained so posted for at least 72 continuous hours preceding the scheduled time of said meeting. __________________________________ Jessica Brettle, City Secretary Minutes of the Meeting of the Georgetown Youth Advisory Board City of Georgetown, Texas Monday, January 23, 2012 The Georgetown Youth Advisory Board of the City of Georgetown, Texas, met on Monday , January 23, 2012. Board Members Present: Alicia Kellum, Kaylee Spielmann, Parker Tadlock, Tyler Willrich, Sara Peacock, Claire Janes, Jade Moffett, Kokie Cummings Board Members Absent: Frances Stone, Rachel Konovodoff, Bailey Vandegrift Staff Present: Katie Sofranko Minutes Regular Meeting Call to order at 5:50pm Consideration and possible action to approve minutes from January 9 meeting- Rachel Konovodoff -Motion Kellum, second Moffett, vote unanimous to approve minutes from January 9 Review of YAC Summit- Tyler Willrich, Sara Peacock, Claire Janes, Parket Tadlock, Jade Moffett - Jade Moffett presented the idea of getting more involved in the community with volunteering for church events and with the animal shelter. Tyler Willrich presented that the GYAB put themselves out there and get more involved in the community, specifically advocating for youth in Georgetown. Claire Janes presented that the GYAB try to include people who aren't necessarily already represented in their groups and that the GYAB should have more of a voice in the community, speaking up for others. Claire Janes also presented the idea of a mock Council meeting that another YAB does. Parker Tadlock presented the GYAB with a description of the PSA that the members put together on animal safety and being a more responsible pet owner. Jade and Tyler explained more about the PSA. Consideration and possible action to approve service project for February- Katie Sofranko -GYAB members voted unanimously to sponsor the February 10 blood drive at the Rec Center and to keep collecting supplies for the Hope Alliance Discussion of presentation to City Council- Tyler W illrich - GYAB voted that Claire Janes should present to Council on what GYAB has been involved in for the past year, including service projects, teen events, and YAC Summit and that Tyler Willrich should speak on what the GYAB has coming up and how we propose to move forward, including teen events, service projects, and new application process beginning in April Adjourn at 6:42pm
