HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_GTWU_02.13.2025AdvisoryWater Utility a' City of Georgetown, ., 2025Thursday, February 13,, The Georgetown Water Utility Advisory Board met on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM at West Side Service Center, 5501 Williams Drive. The City of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The following Members were in attendance: Present were: Steve Fought, Tina Geiselbrecht, Ron Garland, Brian Birdwell, Ercel Brashear, William C Gedney Please fill out a speaker registration form which can be found on the table at the entrance to the meeting room. Clearly print your name and the letter of the item on which you wish to speak and present it to the Board Liaison prior to the start of the meeting. You will be called forward to speak when the Board considers that item. Only persons who have delivered the speaker form prior to the meeting being called to order may speak. Speakers will be allowed up to three minutes to speak. If you wish to speak for six minutes, it is permissible to use another requestor's granted time to speak. No more than six minutes for a speaker may be granted. The requestor granting time to another speaker must also submit a form and be present at the meeting. A request must be received by the Advisory Board or Commission Liaisor prior to the day the agenda for this meeting is posted. Each speaker will be given three minutes to address the Board or Commission members. No action can be taken. At the time of posting, no one signed up to speak. Visitor Kausik Susarla and Byron Whisnant signed up to speak prior to the start of the meeting. Susarla shared his opinion about the transparency regarding the utility rate structure and his concerns about water service and related customer service. Motion Approved: 6- 0 Voting For: Steve Fought, Tina Geiselbrecht, Ron Garland, Brian Birdwell, Ercel Brashear, William C Gedney Voting Against: None 1.D Updates from Directors Any updates will be highlighted at the meeting. The Director's Report a nd CIP updates are attached. -- Chelsea Solomon, Water Utility Director Solomon reviewed the Director's Report. Pousson shared Capital Water/ Wastewater projects currently in construction. 1.E Third Amendment to Task Order 18-001 with Walker Partners for the Berry Creek Interceptor Project Consideration and possible recommendation to City Council to approve the Third Amendment to Task Order 18-001-TO with Walker Partners, LLC. for professional services related to the Berry Creek Interceptor Project in the amount of $566,580.00 -- Wesley Wright, P.E., Systems Engineering Director Moved by Steve Fought; seconded by Tina Geiselbrecht to Approve Consideration and possible recommendation to City Council to approve the Third Amendment to Task Order 18-001 with Walker Partners for the Berry Creek Interceptor Project..
