AN RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AMENDING THE UNIFIED
DEVELOPMENT CODE (UDC) DEVELOPMENT MANUAL FEE
SCHEDULE TO INCLUDE THE TREE MITIGATION FEE;
REPEALING CONFLICTING RESOLUTIONS; INCLUDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to update the Unified Development Code (UDC)
Development Manual Fee Schedule to include the Tree Mitigation Fee; and
WHEREAS, in a City Council Meeting on September 9, 2025, City Council approved on
Second Reading an ordinance amending the text of the Unified Development Code (UDC) which
removed the Tree Mitigation Fee from the text of the UDC; and
WHEREAS, in a City Council Workshop on September 9, 2025, City Council provided
direction recommending the adoption of a Tree Mitigation Fee into the Unified Development Code
(UDC) Development Manual Fee Schedule in the amount of $550 per Mitigation Inch; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the best interest of the public to adopt the
updated Tree mitigation fee into the Unified Development Code (UDC) Development Manual Fee
Schedule, as set out herein.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1. The meeting at which this resolution was approved was conducted in
compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.
Section 2. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby
found and declared to be true and correct and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly
made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
Section 3. The UDC Development Manual is hereby updated to include the following Tree
Mitigation Fee:

Section 4. All resolutions that conflict with the provisions of this resolution are hereby
repealed, and all other resolutions of the City not in conflict with the provisions of this resolution
shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 5. If any provision of this resolution, or application thereof, to any person or
circumstance, shall be held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions, or
application thereof, of this resolution, which can be given effect without the invalid provision or
application, and to this end the provisions of this resolution are hereby declared to be severable.
Section 6. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign this resolution and the City Secretary to
attest. This resolution shall become effective and be in full force and effect on October 1, 2025 in
accordance with the provisions of the City Charter of the City of Georgetown.

Planning Department encourages you to verify the total fees for your project prior to submitting an
application by emailing planning@georgetowntexas.gov. All fractions of an acre will be rounded up to the

Re -notices: All application fees include the initial public notice fee, up to 50 mailed notices. For
projects with over 50 mailed notices, an additional fee of $1.00 per letter shall be charged for each
mailing. Any necessary subsequent public notifications will be charged to the applicant priorto each
additional notice atthe rate of $75 per type of notice.
