The Georgetown Area Public Library was called to order by Mx. Everett
Williams. The minutes of the last meeting was read and approved. Mrs. Winters
reported on the financial situation of the library.
Old business was the collection of over due books policy. Mrs. Philpot
was authorized to turnover overdue book list to the police for collection.
New business, the feature article, for the library to appear in the newspaper.*'
Mrs. Philpot reported cn the United Fund meeting. She stated that the library
woAld get an additional $600 from last year's campaign because they exceeded
their goal. And next year we asked for $3,000.
The new library budget was turned over to Mr. Wood, city manager, and now
ww are waiting for the budget to be approved. Mrs. Philpot also reported
we have a new employee Miss Carol Bunch, who was hired thru the the CETA
(Comprehensive Employment Training Act) and she will work thru the summer.
After no further business the meeting adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
