The April meeting of the Library Board was called to order by Chairperson
,Gold* Immediately) Mr. 'old informed the Board that the 1979-1980 budget
must reflect no more than a 7% overall increase. After much discussion
on who and/or what should receive an increases the revised budget was
given to Mrs. Winters for computation. Enclosed is the revised budget
tr'at will be presented to the City Council. It reflects a 6*8% increase,
The remairiderof the meeting was . chaired by Mr. Williams. Mrs. Winters
explained the financial report for March 1979. As Of 3s-31-79, the Current
Bank Book Balance was 03050-18. However, duplicate payments were made
totally 0732.58. Therefore, balance will be $4482.76 once payments c)r(--
returned,
Jacob reported that Central Texas Library System had sent a large amount
of materials for reactivation of Friends. Also, the co-ordinator offered
to meet with Board and/or interested Individuals to set up the PR.materials.
The Board appointed Jacobs Oliver, and Elliott to meet with Seever before
the next metting.
Jacob also reported her plans to attend the Children Services Workshop
In Lockhart on April 279 Others Interested will be encouraged to attend
