Library Board
Present: Williams, Harper, Jefferson, Elliott, Olives, Jacob, Philpot
The July meeti'ng of the ,Library Board was called to order by
Vice Chairperson Wiliams. The minutes 'of the previous meeting were
approved as read. The financiAl report showed a deficit in encumbered
funds of $88.40, and a balance of operating funds of $2,339.15,
During the discussion of old business, Oliver reported that Seever
no longer could work to reactivate the Friends of the Library. Oliver
volunteered to talk to Mrs. Ginger Girvin about the Friends. r

Philpot asked the Board's opinion on refusing a church group use of
the community room every Sunday. The Board cheered on regulations and
verified. that Mrs. Philpot had full power to reserve or not reserve the
room. Any party I.restioning her action could appeal to the Board.
Jacob informed the Board that the Central Texas Library System
s &.ivl ng a trustee workshop in Austin on Saturday, Julf 28, 1,479.
All trustees desiring to go vTere enco:.raged to contact Jacob before
July 21st for necessary reservations.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at
10:45. The next meeting w&ll be on August 1, 19t9 at 10:00. a.m.
