The February meeting of the Georgetown Library Board of Trustees was called to order by Chairperson Williams. The minutes of the January meetint; were approved. as presented. The financial report presented by Winters was approved. As of 1-31-81 the report showed balance operating funds of 3,500.32. The library report by Philpot had a total circulation of 6,690 for the month of January. During CTLS report, Jacob reported on a workshop in Bryan she had attended on children collections. Jacob also informed the board of a workshop on Feb. 18 on library budgets and encourage board members to attend if possible. This workshop will be held in Killen. There were no reports from the Friends of the Library and LRPC due to the absence of Bingham and Gold. During the business discussion, Jacob reported on the survey of the community on library hours.expansion. Jacob stated that she had all the material to start survey but that Dr. Don Hilliard at this time could not supply students to help so she would now contact Frien0s for assistance . About 500 person:.:, need to be survey to be validate. The board members were informed that the library :is not under the minimum wake code law so the library staff members work schedule will stay as is. k correction was made of type error of previous report of 3.40 to -3.35 concering hourly wages of Rose as of Jan,. 1, .1.981. %'linters stated the need of policy on Library staff leave of absence, ;such a::, long illness , maternity, :.staff member requeo tinrr summer off and etc. Oliver made a motion that Library job opening: positions with descri tionS, be advertise. in our local newspaper.
