persons obtained goals seta Georgetown and many surrounding cities were
represented in the program. An article will be placed in the local news-
paper acknowledging persons who participated and helped with the program.
Seever reported on the Monday evening extended library hours during
the summer months. She feels that this endeavor has been worthwhile and
would recommend repeating next summer.
There was a discussion concerning the election of another member
to the board to replace Sylvia Thomas. It was moved by Elliott and
seconded by Weir that Jacob contact Linda Cisnero to see if she would be
willing to serve on the library board and have her name submitted to the
City Council for this purpose. Motion carried.
Winters moved and Elliott seconded that Barbara Seever would continue
as lay representative on the CTLS Board. Motion carried.
It was suggested by Jacob that a letter of commendation be sent to
the library employees, from the Board, thanking them for their sterling
performance during Mrs. Philpot's absence. Mrs. Elliott volunteered to
do this.
There being no further business meeting was adjourned.
Next meeting will be October 6, 1982.
Respectively submitted
