Box 428 Georgetown, Texas 78626 i4'aY 30, 1984 Dear Board Member: Just a reminder that the next meeting of the Georgetown Public Library Board is Wednesday, June 6, at 10:00 a.m. We did not have a quorum at the may meeting; I would really appreciate your making an extra effort to attend the June meeting. Items on the agenda for discussion include re- vision of the by-laws, status of the ordinance concerning violation of library rules (and dis- cussion of what the library will have to do when the ordinance passes), membership in the Downtown Georgetown Association, development of a volunteer program, status of Friends of the Library, and planning for a major public relations event in connection with the opening of the children's room (probably early in September). The next meeting of the Board is on Wednesday, October 3, at 11:00 a.m. Please note that we will be voting on amendments to the by-laws. I should like to request that, in considering the amendment to Article II, Section 3, having to do with term of office, some thought be given to permitting reappointment to the Board of a member who has served two consecutive three year terms (the limit placed by the suggested amendment) after a waiting period of some specified length of time.
