Library Board Meeting - June 4, 1985 - 11:00 A.M.
Members Present: Marjorie Youngman, Nancy Snead, Winfred Bonner,
Dorian Sullivan, Parker McCollough, Verne Philpot
Old Business: Bobby Lewis suggested we contact Mr. Kokel, a local
appraiser, to do informal appraisal of present library building.
Parker presented the architectural drawings that Marjorie had gotten
from David Voelter.
Parker proposed that we go before City Council June llth, informing
them of where we stand on our building program.
Marjorie will approach Mr. Gooch concerning necessity of speed in
compiling a building program. If he will not be available, then she
will ask for recommendations for qualified consultants.
Marjorie Youngman moved that we accept the Materials Selection Policy.
Motion passed.
New Business: Mrs. Philpot will provide an updated list of periodicals.
Financial report read and accepted. Board voted to amend the proposed
budget from 7% raises to 10% raises.
The next meeting will be July 2, 1985. We will go on a field trip
unless we are notified otherwise.
