40 Library Board Meeting - July 2, 1985 - 11:00 A.M.
Members Present: Marjorie Youngman, Nancy Snead, Marjorie Herbert,
Winfred Bonner, Verne Philpot, Dorian Sullivan,
Parker McCollough
Old Business: Field Trip - Land available:
(1) 16th & Forest and adjacent lot on Forest
(2) Corner of 12th & Scenic (near H.E.B.) on river - has
been surveyed and core drilled
(3) MLK & 9th - City to vacate its equipment across from new
police station.
(4) Corner of Weir Rd. & old 81 - end of City Park (near soccer fields)
(5) MLK Blvd. between 8th & 9th owned by GRR. Interested in swapping
land with City.
Parker went before Council on June 11 with update on our goals and where
we stand at the present time in regard to Building Program, etc.
Our next step will be to approach the City for monies to hire an architect.
At some point we will be requesting a Bond Election.
