Library Board Meeting - Sept. 3, 1985 - 11:00 A.M.
Members Present: Parker McCollough, Gwen Morrison, Dorian Sullivan,
Verne Philpot and Mr. Gooch from Texas State Library
Old Business: Financial Report read and accepted.
Parker received letter from City Attorney stating Georgetown Library
has been designated a city agency. Therefore, no need for a contract
between city and library.
Bill Gooch spoke on Building Program - his program is a brief summary/guide
without specifics.
Title II - Clause saying Secretary of Education can grant a waiver on
federal monies to be paid back when library moves to new building.
Architects - Bill can provide list of competent library architects.
Land - Need at least 1.5 to 2.4 acres.
Meeting adjourned at 12:10.
Next meeting will be October 1, 1985 at 11:00 A.M.
