Members Present: Parker McCollough, Winfred Bonner, Marjorie Herbert,
Marjorie Youngman, Gwen Morrison, Dorian Sullivan,
Nancy Benold, also Verne Philpot and Eve Whyte (Friends
of the Library Rep.)
Old Business: City Council unanimously approved use of land at M.L.K. & 8th St.
as a site for location of new library.
New Business: Each Board member was given one architectural firm to evaluate.
We will meet on Thursday, November 21, at 11:00 A.M. to share our evaluations.
Eve Whyte announced Friends of Library Meeting on Thursday evening, Nov. 21,
at 7:00 P.M. in the Library.
Mrs. Philpot requested that library be closed on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
of Thanksgiving week. Board approved.
Meeting adjourned at 12:00 noon.
SPECIAL MEETING ON NOVEMBER 21 at 11:00 A.M.
Next regular Board meeting on Tuesday, December 3, at 11:00 A.M.
