LIBRARY BOARD MEETING - �, 1986 at _`11:00 A.M.
Members Present: Marjorie Youngman, Gwen Morrison, Verne Philpot,
Winnfred Bonner, Dorian Sullivan, Parker McCollough,
Marjorie Herbert
Gib BUSINESS; Minutes approved
1. Gwen reported on computers through I.B.M.; Actually we would receive money
rather than equipment. We should also include softwareinapplication.
Grant has to crime from friends of Library, Therefore, Gwen will become a
member and will pursue completing application. Marjorie Youngman moved
and motion passed on approval of Given's pursuit of grant: through I.B.M.
. Marjorie Herbert moved that we delay user fee until more information is
available on computer system. Motion was seconded and passed.
3. Personnel Policy of city reviewed by Parker. He suggested that we wait:
until: September board Meeting to adopt policy. This would follow city's
approval of policy.
. Budget has been submitted to city. Total proposed budget is 71, 9 72. 6 .
101 raise for employees
6. Bond proceeds have been delivered.
6. Gwen moved that we meet Wednesday morning` at 9:00 on September 3, 1986 to
meet employees of library.
7. Report by Parker on what city 'will pay for: City will clear site and bury
electrical lines at their expense. library will pay for curb and gutter
and sidewalks. Dorian moved that Parker go before council and ask for a
waiver of all fees and that it is unanimously resolved that the Board ask
for this waiver. Motion was seconded and passed..
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Parker discovered that Helen Langdon a landowner, has 60 6O piece of property.
This property is on northwest corner of proposed library site. more investigation
needs to be done on this. Parker and Winfred Bonner will pursue this.
2. Marjorie Herbert moves that we have regular monthlymeetings at 12z00
rather than 11:80. Moyion seconded and passed;.
