Library Board Meeting - October 7, 1986 at 12:00 noon
Members Present: Marjorie Youngman, Gwen Morrison, Linda Davis,
Nancy Snead, Nancy Benold, Parker McCollough,
Dorian Sullivan, Winfred Bonner, Verne Philpot
Visitors: Bob Gaylor, City Manager
Greg H., Architect's Rep.
Old Business:
1. Gwen will meet with IBM Wednesday to present application
for computer equipment, totaling $10,008.00.
2. Bob Walton has prepared site preparation specification and
has presented this to the Architects.
New Business:
1. Ethics Ordinance passed last year requires that each Board Member
attend seminar on either Oct. 16 or 29.
2. Annual report must be completed and returned by Dec. 1. Parker
will complete this report.
3. Legislative Breakfast will be attended by Marjorie Youngman
and Nancy Snead.
4. Linda Davis reported that members of Friends of the Library are
willing to help in change over to computer.
5. Newcomers Club has voted to give 2 of their Style Show proceeds
to Library.
6. Parker McCollough appointed Nancy Snead, Nancy Benold and
Marjorie Youngman to come up with transitional plan in regard
to personnel, budgeting, etc.
Greg made presentation. Schedule for new Library is as follows:
1. Bids will be let Oct. 17, 1986.
2. Bids due and opened on Nov. 17, 1986. Mayor and City Council
will make decision at City Council Meeting on Nov 25, 1986.
Board will maet and review bids with Architect so that we can
make recommendation to Council.
3. Ceremonial groundbreaking can be around Dec. 1, 1986.
Meeting adjourned at 1:30 P.M.
