GEORGETOWN PUBLIC LIBRARY
Library Board Meeting - June 3, 1987 at 12:00 noon
Members present: Parker McCollough, Nancy Snead, Judy Duer, Dorian Sullivan,
Marjorie Youngman, Linda Davis, Nancy Benold, Gwen Morrison
Guests: Bill Gooch, Greg Ibanez, Hartley Sappington
Old Business:
1. Judy gave an update on automation. After thorough research, she is
recommending that the Board bid on a turnkey system rather than try
to update the IBM 36. Marjorie Youngman moved that the Board request
the City issue request for proposal of Library Automatioh System.
Motion seconded and approved.
2. Judy gave report on registration. Public relations seem to be improving
in this area.
3. Greg reported on bids which came in 9% high. However, adjustments were made
to bring low bidder within budget.
4. Greg presented Board with fabric samples for furniture, flooring samples,
and wall colors.
