Library Board Meeting - Tuesday, October 6, 1987 at 12:00 noon.
Members present: Winfred Bonner, Parker McCollough, Hartley Sappington,
Judy Duer, Linda Davis, Marjorie Youngman, Nancy Benold
New Business:
1. Board will sign letter thanking all volunteer groups and individuals
who participated in Grand Opening. Letter will go to both newspapers.
2. Library Board shared with Mrs. Philpot that a fund has been set up
for her to honor her work over the years.
3. Library Board sent medsage to city saying how pleased we are with
Mrs. Judy Duer. Message relayed through Hartley Sappington.
4. We need policy on rotating art work through Library. We will delay
decision until we speak to Dorian Sullivan and Art Guild.
S. Will put miniature replicas of Georgetown buildings from old library
into the new library children"s area. We will remount arrowheads to
put on walls.
6. A video cassette circuit is beginning. We decided not to join at
this time.
7. Book sale - Judy suggests we buy all books that are left out of
Gifts and Memorials fund. Board voted the authorization to do so.
