GEORGETOWN PUBLIC LIBRARY
Library Board Meeting - Tuesday, February 2, 1988 at 12:00 noon
Members present: Nancy Benold, Marcus Pritchett, Marjorie Youngman,
Linda Davis, Dorian Sullivan, Parker McCollough,
Marjorie Herbert, Judy Duer
Old Business:
1. Automation: At the end of November we had $91,956.00 unencumbered
funds. Since November we've spent $600.00 and still owe Bailey Elliott
$4,000.00. We will get $ 18.47 back from Hidell Architects. This
means approximately $87,000 available plus $60,000 in C.D.'s.
Judy and Automation Committee still reviewing bids. The Goal i
to pick the top two companies and set up demonstrations open to staff,
board and the public.
2. Furniture Judy suggested that we settle furniture dispute by
settling on $3731.00 to cover needed furniture items.
New Business:
1. Major leak in plumbing has caused some structural problems.
Bailey Elliott will do necessary repairs.
2. Rotary Club has asked to donate a tree.
3. AA1JW is wanting to go in with another organization to buy a TV
and video recorder.
