this has been well received by the patrons. The Library Foundation has received a five thousand -

this grant on to the library. A grant of $75,000 from the state library, which involves cooperation

fundraising efforts. Jerry Sensabaugh is heading up a project for e-filing of tax returns at the
library using the new laptops. The Georgetown Plus organization has indicated the library is to be
their first priority.
Eric also reported that the terms of three Library Board members are expiring.
Expanded Library Hours: The board discussed the possibilities of expanding the hours of the
library and the costs involved. Eric indicated that to move four positions from part-time to full-time

Possible Future Location of the Library: Eric reported that the mayor of Georgetown has been
approached by the Williamson County Appraisal Office about the possibility of purchasing the
present library building. The Draeger Motors property on Austin Avenue also is a possible site for
a future library. In addition, there is some consideration for a property located on Holly Street near
the old juvenile detention center.
Jerry Sensabaugh moved that, all things being equal, the first priority to consider in any relocation
of the library would be that the library be located near the center of town. Judy Griffith seconded
the motion and it passed unanimously. Georgene Richaud moved that a letter be sent on behalf
of the board which would elaborate the reasons for the prior motion. Judy Griffith seconded the
motion and it passed unanimously. Anyone with additional suggestions on ideas to be included in
