S A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, APPROVING THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN'S APPLICATIONS TO THE 2026 TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION HIGHWAY SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) issued a call for projects through local area offices to apply for TxDOT's Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP); and WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown (the "City"), has submitted one intersection project (1) Westinghouse Road at Vista View Drive; and WHEREAS, if awarded, the applications require a 10% local match, comprised of cash, and the City will be responsible for all non -reimbursable costs and 100% of overruns, if any, for HSIP funds; and WHEREAS, the City has identified the following funding sources for the projects including: Project Total Estimated Cost 10% Match Fundin Source Westinghouse Road at Vista View Drive $367,653.91 $36,765.39 Traffic Impact Fees NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: Section 1. The meeting at which this resolution was approved was conducted in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551. Section 2. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. Section 3. The City Council of the City of Georgetown approves the submittal of the following applications to TxDOT's Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP): (1) Westinghouse Drive at Vista View Section 4. The City Council of the City of Georgetown further resolves to support funding the project as described in the application and to commit to the development, implementation, construction, maintenance, management, and financing of the projects. If the project is awarded funding through TxDOT's Highway Safety Improvement Program, the City of Georgetown is willing and able to enter into an agreement with TxDOT by resolution or ordinance. If any provision of this resolution, or application thereof, to any person or circumstance, shall be held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions, or application thereof, of this resolution, which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this resolution are hereby declared to be severable.
