A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS ("GEORGETOWN") RELEASING
APPROXIMATELY 1.002 ACRES OF LAND FROM THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN'S EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION ("ETJ"),
SAID LAND IDENTIFIED BY THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY APPRAISAL
DISTRICT AS PARCEL R041132 AND BEING LOCALLY KNOWN AS
3011 BRANGUS ROAD, GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON COUNTY,
TEXAS, RESULTING IN A REDUCTION OF GEORGETOWN'S ETJ;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on February 4, 2026, the City of Georgetown, Texas, received a petition requesting
release from its ETJ of an approximately 1.002 acre tract of land in the David Wright Survey (the
"Petition"), a true and correct copy of such Petition being attached hereto as Exhibit A and
incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Subchapter D of Chapter 42 of Local Government Code, landowners or
residents may submit a petition seeking release of an area of land from the City's ETJ; and
WHEREAS, the City Secretary has reviewed the Petition and confirmed that it meets the
requirements of Subchapter D of Chapter 42 of the Local Government Code and the petition
requirements of Chapter 277 of the Election Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
SEC` ION 1. The City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas ("City Council"), does hereby
find that the forgoing recitals are true and correct and adopts the recitals by this reference for all
purposes.
SECTION 2. To the extent required by state law, the City Council does hereby adjust the
boundaries and limits of the ETJ of the City of Georgetown, Texas, such that the ETJ of the City
of Georgetown, Texas, shall be and is hereby adjusted to release and remove the Area subject to
the Petition, as such Area is more particularly described and depicted in Exhibit B attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference, from the ETJ of the City of Georgetown, Texas.
SECTION 3. The City Council is not consenting to this reduction of its ETJ except as required
by state law.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage.

the said 1.0 acre tract, being also at the southwest corner of a 5.69 acre tract conveyed to David

herein described tract;
Thence S 74 deg 39 min 10 sec E 199.92 feet to an iron rod found at the northwest corner of a
1.00 acre tract conveyed to Scott Gelner by instrument of record in Volume 2558, Page 215, for
the northeast corner of the herein described tract;
Thence S 14 deg 07 min 13 sec W 273.41 feet to the said right-of-way of Brangus Road at the
southwest corner of the said Gelner tract, for the southeast corner of the herein described tract;
Thence with the northerly right-of-way of Brangus Road the following courses and distances:
with a curve to the left whose radius = 425.00 feet, tangents = 59.73 feet, arc = 118.67 feet and
whose chord bears N 77 deg 04 min 38 sec W 118.29 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing
1.003 acres of land, more or less.

Pursuant to Section 42.102(b) of the Texas Local Government Code, the undersigned property
owner(s), owning the majority in value of the above -described property located within the
extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Georgetown, Texas, hereby petition for the release of
said property from the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction.
IV. STATUTORY AUTHORITY
This petition is filed pursuant to Texas Local Government Code Chapter 42, Subchapter D
(Sections 42.101-42.105), which authorizes the owner or owners of the majority in value of an
area consisting of one or more parcels of land in a municipality's extraterritorial jurisdiction to
petition for release from such jurisdiction.
